Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. Toy Story 3
Twelve-year-old Dre Parker could've been the most popular kid in Detroit, but his mother's latest career move has landed him in China. Dre immediately falls for his classmate Mei Ying -- and the feeling is mutual -- but cultural differences make such a friendship impossible. Even worse, Dre's feelings make an enemy of the class bully, and kung fu prodigy, Cheng. With no friends in a strange land, Dre has nowhere to turn but maintenance man Mr. Han, who is secretly a master of kung fu. As Han teaches Dre that kung fu is not about punches and parries, but maturity and calm, Dre realizes that facing down the bullies will be the fight of his life.

Hey, Boomer. Could you please take on some of the more complex movies for Mr.
Neman to review. He has the chops and your readers are sophisticated
intellectuals with discerning tastes in film.

As hard as we try we can never re-create a moment in time. For those
who stand watching and hoping that (for
instance)"Taking Woodstock" will be a glimpse from the

all bad. What it is is an attempt to show the era defined by 3 days and
that came at the end of a very brief period of time created
by essentially a hand full of young Americans who not only had a once
in a lifetime experience but who were literally standing on the edge of
American history (many of which were facing the possibility of
military service in Vietnam) and learning very hard lessons about their
government.

Those who were at The Woodstock Nation and those that were
a part of the "counter-culture" carry with them to this very
moment the simple, eternal truths that were learned duri...

It's so good to be able once more to read reviews that are both useful and
entertaining. Dan's wit sparkles even when he is letting us know that a movie
should be skipped -- and despite the fun, that's information well worth having.
Thanks, Boomer Life.

It's such a pleasure to see Dan Neman back in "print" again. His
intelligent commentary and criticism were sorely missed and I'm happy to witness
his resurrection! (That sentence is not intended as a comparison to any deity,
Dan!) Hopefully Dan's erudite writing and ascerbic wit will draw more people to
this site and entice others to pick up the magazine. Thanks for the opportunity
to leave a comment, Boomer Life, it's appreciated! Look forward to reading your
publication and Dan Neman's work in the future.
