GRTC Transit Talk - without transit funding, everyone feels the impact

Transit Talk Goals

The goal of www.TransitTalk.com is to make the Richmond Region aware of the contribution that expanded public transit can make in solving many of the problems facing the region in the immediate, near, and distant future.

Without awareness of the potential impact of expanded public transit, we cannot address the problems of environment, economy, traffic congestion, increased taxes, and the quailty of life within the Richmond Region.

About Transit Talk

We are advocates in the pursuit of better public transits for our Region. As a whole, our group will be comprised of a variety of committees that promote a wide range of topics.

These topics include but are not limited to traffic, environment, quality of life, workforce, financial, and how the use of public transit creates positive impact on each of thse issues.

Commitees will have the ability to speak on behalf of the group at public meetings, conferences, etc. As time progresses campaigns will be created to promote issues that need attention.

Why Get Involved?

You can make a difference by working to enhance the awareness of all citizens within the Region about the importance of transportation to the future of the Richmond Region.

The issues and challenges we face include affordable transportation, workforce access, traffic congestion, and environmental pollution, to name just a few.

These issues and challenges affect us all, regardless of how, or whether, we make use of the available transportation systems.
